WESTERVILLE — Freshman Maddie Storr had a Hat Trick to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team in a 15-5 loss at Otterbein on Wednesday evening at Memorial Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 6-7 overall and are 1-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference play in their inaugural season, while the Cardinals improve to 5-7, 3-1.
Freshman Maggie Fuller scored ONU's first goal of the game, and her 26th of the season, to tie it at 1-1 with 8:25 gone.
Junior Angela Tesny picked up her second goal of the year with 4:36 left in the half to bring ONU within 5-2.
Storr had her hat trick with goals in the 41st, 56th and 59th minutes.
OU led 6-2 at halftime and took control of the game by scoring the first five goals of the second half to go up 11-2.
Sophomore Shannen Larsen Van Alstine stopped 18 of 33 shots in goal for ONU.
Otterbein out-shot Ohio Northern 47-14.
The Polar Bears will return home to face Baldwin Wallace on Saturday at 1 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
