Seven named All-American Scholars by Women's Golf Coaches Association

ADA — Seven Ohio Northern student/athletes were named All-American Scholars for 2020-21 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.
Sophomores Olivia Galigher (Bolivar/Tuscarawas), Bella Orofino (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), Jessica Tubbs (Holland/Springfield) and Meghan Utterdyke (Lebanon/Fenwick) and freshmen Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East), Allison Rountree (Loveland) and Rylie Smith (Cambridge/Buckeye Trail) all earned the honor.
A total of 1,432 women's collegiate golfers across all NCAA and NAIA levels received the award.
An athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA to be eligible.
The Polar Bears finished the 2020-21 season with a 37-22-1 record, won the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament and finished 20th at the NCAA Division III Championships under ninth-year head coach Chad Bucci.
