Chad Bucci named OAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year

ADA — Ohio Northern head coach Chad Bucci was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Coach of the Year for 2021 in voting conducted by the league's nine head coaches.
Bucci guided the Polar Bears (33-3-1 overall) to the OAC Championships title in record-setting fashion, winning the crown by 36 shots with a league record 990 strokes.
The title is the second in ONU school history and its first since 2007.
With the victory, Ohio Northern qualifies for the NCAA Division III Championships on May 11-14 at Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich. It will be ONU's second appearance as a team at the NCAA Championships.
Bucci is the only coach in OAC history to to lead two different schools to the league title, as he guided Otterbein to the 2013 OAC crown.
He is in his eighth season at ONU with a 234-209-2 record, a winning percentage of .528.
