HARROD — Junior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) won Medalist honors for the seventh time in her career to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to the team title at the ONU Fall Invitational on Saturday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The 36-hole tournament was shortened to 18 holes after play was suspended midway through Sunday's second round due to heavy rains.
Cranmer won the tournament for the third consecutive season and finished with a 2-over par 74, tying her career-best 18-hole round.
Freshmen Annika Neumann (Valley City/Avon) and Jessica Tubbs (Holland/Springfield) completed a 1-2-3 finish in the 26-woman field for ONU. Neumann was second with a 77 and Tubbs was third with an 84.
The Polar Bears (2-0 overall) won the team title with a 324, which is the lowest team score in nine years and the second-lowest in school history.
Playing as an individual, ONU freshman Torrie Smith (Russiaville, Ind./Western) also posted a top-5 finish, winding up fifth with an 88.
