Sophomore Lydia Cranmer earns second OAC Golfer of the Week honor in 2018-19 season

ADA — Sophomore women's golfer Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) has been tabbed the Ohio Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for the April 1-8 voting period, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Cranmer received her second honor in the 2018-19 season after capturing Medalist honors with an 85-80—165 scorecard at the Otterbein Cardinal Classic on the NorthStar Golf Course last weekend. The Farmington Hills, Michigan native rebounded from a four-shot deficit to edge first-round leader Madison Harsh (Capital) by one stroke and secure a third-place team finish for the Polar Bears.

The sophomore has now won Medalist honors four times in five tournaments during the 2018-19 season and owns six honors in 13 career tournaments.

With the announcement, Cranmer has been named OAC Golfer of the Week for the fourth time in her career.

The Polar Bears (20-5 Overall) will return to action at the two-day Wooster Invitational on the Mohican Hills Golf Course in Jermoesville this Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14.
