Tournament Notes: The Ohio Northern women's golf program will open their 2019 spring slate Tuesday, March 5 when the Polar Bears compete in the Winterfest Classic at the Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee, Florida ... The competition is set to begin at 7 am ... Northern enters their spring schedule sporting a 19-2 overall record from the fall season ... In their most recent action, the Polar Bears dropped a tight-knit, 707-705 dual to Ohio Wesleyan at North Star Golf Club in Sunbury in September ... Sophomore Lydia Cranmer earned medalist honors after firing a 164 (85-79) over the two-day dual ... The Farmington Hills, Michigan native has been medalist three times this season and five times in her first two seasons ... Meanwhile, senior Caitlin Silva also ended among the top-five finishers in the 17-player field, carding a 174 (90-84) ... Junior Taylor Daniel, senior Suzanne Short, and freshman Emily McLaughlin shot 184, 186, and 191, respectively to round out the scoring individuals ... Through eight rounds this season, Cranmer leads the team with an 82.0 stroke average ... Silva sits second with an 88.6 stroke average while Short is third at 89.4 strokes per round.
