Women's Golf wraps up fall campaign with two-stroke loss to Ohio Wesleyan in tight dual match

SUNBURY — The Ohio Northern women's golf team fell 707-705 in a tight dual match with Ohio Wesleyan Saturday and Sunday at NorthStar Golf Club.
The Polar Bears (19-2 overall) trailed the Battling Bishops (21-12) 367-366 after the first round and were edged 339-340 in the second round to fall by two strokes.
Sophomore Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) wom Medalist honors for the third time this fall and fifth time in her career with an 85-79—164.
Senior Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) was fifth out of 17 golfers with a 90-84—174, senior Taylor Daniel (Columbia City, Ind.) was seventh with a 95-89—184 and senior Suzanne Short (Findlay) was ninth with a 97-89—186.
The Polar Bears will return to action during their annual Spring Break trip in March.
