Women's Golf in tight battle with Ohio Wesleyan after day one of dual match

SUNBURY — The Ohio Northern women's golf team is in a tight dual match with Ohio Wesleyan after the first round on Saturday at NorthStar Golf Club.
The Polar Bears (19-1 overall) trail the Battling Bishops (20-12) 367-366 after the first round of the 36-hole dual match.
Sophomore Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) carded a first round 85 and leads the field by one stroke over OWU's Katelyn Bischoff.
Senior Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) was fifth out of 17 golfers with a 90, senior Taylor Daniel (Columbia City, Ind.) is seventh with a 95 and senior Suzanne Short (Findlay) is eighth with a 97.
The final round is slated for Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
