Women's Golf opens 2018 fall schedule with strong showing at Polar Bear Classic

HARROD — The Ohio Northern women's golf team opened its 2018 fall schedule with a solid performance at its own Polar Bear Classic Saturday and Sunday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears had the top six golfers in the dual match against Heidelberg, who brought only two golfers.
Sophomore Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) won Medalist honors with an 83-86—169, four shots ahead of senior teammate Suzanne Short (Findlay), who shot an 89-86—175.
Senior Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) was third with an 89-91—180, junior Taylor Daniel (Columbia City, Ind.) was fourth with an 88-96—184, senior Alaina Mikolajewski (Piqua) was fifth with an 89-97—186 and sophomore Hayley Watkins (Bellefontaine) was sixth with a 96-91—187.
The Polar Bears will return to action Sept. 8-9 at the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational.
