Cranmer, Silva, Short compete at U. of Dayton Fall Invitational

KETTERING — Freshman Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) and juniors Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) and Suzanne Short (Findlay) competed as individuals at the U. of Dayton Fall Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the NCR Country Club.
Cranmer led the Polar Bear trio with a 79th place finish with an 86-87—173.
Silva finished tied for 85th with a 90-90—180 and Short was 89th with a 90-95—185.
The tournament featured 90 players from 13 NCAA Division I schools and Division II Findlay, who edged Western Illinois 595-596 for the team title.
IUPUI's Aneta Abrahamova earned medalist honors, after five playoff holes, with a 5-over par 72-73—145.
The Polar Bears will return to action in March during their annual Spring Break trip.
