Women's Golf lands three on the Academic All-OAC list

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's golf team saw three members earn Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in 2017.

Seniors Jennifer Hipskind (Fort Wayne, Ind./Dwenger) and Ariana Tomasula (Rocky River/Lutheran West) and sophomore Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) all earned the honor.

Hipskind, a Pharmacy major, earned her third career Academic All-OAC honor.

The senior ranks sixth on the team, averaging 92.8 strokes per round. 

Hipskind is also a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar.

Tomasula, an Accounting major, was named Academic All-OAC for the second time in her career.

Tomasula is also a WGCA All-American Scholar.

The senior led the team this season with a 87.5 average.

She tied for 10th at the OAC Championships this season to earn All-Conference honors.

Silva, an Elementary Education major, earned the honor for the first time in her career.

The sophomore ranked second on the team with an 88.3 average.

Silva earned All-Conference honors after posting a 13th place finish at the OAC Championships.

The Polar Bears posted a third place finish at the OAC Championships under fourth-year head coach Chad Bucci.
