Women's Golf is in third place after Day 1 of 2016 OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Ohio Northern is in third place out of eight teams after the first day of the 2016 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships on Friday at the River Greens Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (34-33 overall) are 14 shots off the lead after the first round of the 54-hole event.
Mount Union leads with a 337, Otterbein is second with a 345 and Capital is fourth with a 357.
Junior Ariana Tomasula is tied for fifth out of 40 golfers with an 84 to lead ONU.
Sophomore Heather Comer is second with an 86 and junior Hannah Whisler is ninth with an 87.
Mount Union's Erica Mawhorr leads the individual competition with a first round 81.
The second round will begin Saturday at 11 am and the final round will start Sunday at 11 am.
