Comer, Short lead Women's Golf to victory at Heidelberg Spring Invitational

TIFFIN — Junior Heather Comer and freshman Suzanne Short tied for second to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a dual meet victory over Heidelberg at the Heidelberg Spring Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Mohawk Country Club.
The Polar Bears (34-33 overall) topped the Student Princes 726-752 in the 36-hole tournament.
Comer and Short carded 92-91—183s on the par-72, 5811-yard course.
Junior Ariana Tomasula finished fourth of 18 golfers with an 87-97—184 after holding the first round lead.
Junior Hannah Whisler finished fifth with an 100-85—185 and freshman Caitlin Silva was seventh with a 91-97—188.
The Polar Bears will conclude their regular season April 29-May 1 with the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at the River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ohio.
