Suzanne Short leads Women's Golf team to second place finish at ONU Spring Invitational

HARROD — Freshman Suzanne Short shot a 49-91—140 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team at the ONU Spring Invitational women's golf tournament Saturday and Sunday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears (24-26) finished second of five complete teams with a 27-hole total of 198-388—586.
Otterbein won the team title with a 193-375—568, Capital was third with a 200-395—596 and Columbus State CC was fourth with a 218-380—598.
Junior Heather Comer had the first round lead and finished fifth with a 45-97—142 for ONU.
Junior Hannah Whisler and freshman Caitlin Silva tied for 12th with 52-100—152s.
Otterbein's Ann Jobko took Medalist honors with a 48-89—137.
The Polar Bears will return to action April 9-10 at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational.
