Hannah Whisler, Ariana Tomasula lead Women's Golf at Lourdes Invitational

TOLEDO — Sophomores Hannah Whisler and Ariana Tomasula each posted a top-10 finishes to lead Ohio Northern at the Lourdes Invitational women's golf tournament on Thursday at Heather Downs Country Club.
The Polar Bears (29-34 Overall) finished fifth of seven teams with 370 strokes on the par-73, 5876-yard course.
Whisler finished eighth out of 39 golfers with an 88 and Tomasula tied for 10th with a 90 to lead ONU.
Senior Megan Conley tied for 20th with a 95 sophomore Heather Comer tied for 26th with a 97.
Madison Smith of Cleary (Mich.) won Medalist honors with a 6-over par 79.
Columbus State CC won the team title with a 359, Siena Heights (Mich.) was second with a 360 and Rochester (Mich.) was third with a 362.
The Polar Bears will return to action with a dual match against Heidelberg on April 24 at West Lafayette, Ohio.
