Freshman Ariana Tomasula leads Women's Golf on first day of OAC Championships

COLUMBIA STATION -- Freshman Ariana Tomasula fired a 92 to lead Ohio Northern on the first day of the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships Saturday at Columbia Hills Golf Course.
Tomasula is in sixth place out of 40 golfers on the par-72, 6019-yard course.
The Polar Bears (29-60 overall) are tied for fourth out of eight teams after 18 holes of the 36 hole event with Capital with 395 strokes.
Otterbein leads the team standings with a 374, Baldwin Wallace is second with a 378 and Mount Union is third with a 385.
Freshman Heather Comer is tied for 15th with a 98, junior Megan Conley is 18th with a 101, freshman Hannah Whisler is tied for 22nd with a 104 and junior Allison Fye is tied for 30th with a 111.
The second and final round is slated for Sunday.
