Conley's leads Women's Golf to third place finish at Defiance Fall Invitational

DEFIANCE — Sophomore Megan Conley posted a top-5 finish to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a third place finish at the 8-team Defiance Fall Invitational on Sunday at Eagle Rock Golf Course.

The Polar Bears (12-13) finished with 383 strokes on the par-71 course.

Conlcy carded an 87 to finish tied for fifth out of 44 golfers.

Sophomore Allison Fye tied for 10th with a 91, freshman Courtney Knippen tied for 31st with a 102, freshman Alexandra Manno tied for 34th with a 103 and sophomore Kaitlyn Nestel tied for 38th with a 109.

Madonna (Mich.) won the team title with a 345, Adrian (Mich.) was second with a 360 and Lourdes was fourth with a 387.

Adrian's Ariel Gruber won Medalist honors with an 83.

The Polar Bears will wrap up its fall schedule on Oct. 11 at the Indiana-East Invitational.
