Women's Golf finishes 5th of 8 teams at Capital Fall Invitational
LOCKBOURNE — Senior Emily Gedert tied for fifth place out of 39 golfers, leading the Ohio Northern women's golf team at the Capital Fall Invitational Sunday at the Firefox Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (12-13 overall) finished fifth our of eight teams with a 418.
Mount Union won the team title with a 356, Otterbein was second with a 365 and John Carroll was third with a 383.
Gedert fired a 19-over par 91 on the cold, windy, wet afternoon.
Freshman Megan Conley finished 18th with a 98, freshman Allison Fye was 24th with a 105 and senior Kaitlyn Nestel was 34th with a 124.
Mount Union's Mary Snode won Medalist honors with an 80.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their fall schedule next weekend at the Wittenberg Fall Invitational.
