COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern women's bowling team finished 17th of 18 teams at the Ohio Bowling Conference 2 tournament at Palace Lanes on Saturday.

The Basics

  • Ohio Northern finished 17th of 18 teams with 4,944 pins in five rounds of regular games and 12 baker games during the day.

The Tournament

  • ONU defeated Cincinnati (4,551) in the team standings.
  • Freshman Emily Seckel (Marion/Pleasant) led ONU by knocking down 741 pins in five games, an average of 148.2 per game. She had the team's high game for the tournament with a 190.
  • Sophomore Cindy Durliat (Findlay/Liberty Benton) knocked down 664 pins in five games for an average of 132.8 per game. She had a high game of 158.
  • Freshman Lexa Steinke (Wapakoneta/New Bremen) knocked down 507 pins in four games for an average of 126.75 per game. She had a high game of 160.
  • Freshman Jaylynn Brownlee (Powell/Olentangy) knocked down 490 pins in four games for an average of 122.5 per game. She had a high game of 142.
  • Wright State won the team title with 6,851 pins, Rio Grande was second with 6,697 pins and Muskingum was third with 6,631 pins.
  • Hannah Halstead of Rio Grande won the individual title with 1,083 pins in five games, an average of 216.6 per game.

Notables

  • This was the second of five OBC tournaments this season.
  • First-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
