Women's Basketball ranked No. 15 in first weekly D3Hoops.com poll, No. 18 in second weekly WBCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team is ranked No. 15 in the first weekly D3Hoops.com coaches poll, and is ranked No. 18 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll, both released Tuesday, Nov. 28.
After falling in its season-opener, the Polar Bears (3-1 overall) have won three straight.
Ohio Northern received 269 points in the D3Hoops.com poll.
Tufts (Mass.) claimed the top spot with 608 points and 12 first place votes, while Christopher Newport (Va.) came in at No. 2 with 591 points and six first place votes, and Amherst (Mass.) rounded out the top-3 with 586 points and seven first place votes.
In the WBCA poll, Northern received 62 points, while Amherst (Mass.) is ranked No. 1 with 198 points and six first place votes, Tufts (Mass.) is No. 2 with 194 points and the final two first place votes and Christopher Newport (Va.) rounded out the top-3 with 184 points.
The Polar Bears will open the home portion of their 2017-18 schedule on Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm as they welcome Case Western Reserve to the ONU Sports Center.
