Senior Jordan Kimes record a season-high 23 points in Women's Basketball 69-64 loss to Baldwin Wallace

ADA - Despite a game-high and season-high 23 points and 12 rebounds from senior Jordan Kimes, the Ohio Northern women's basketball team fell 69-64 Saturday afternoon to Baldwin Wallace at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears drop to 11-4 overall and 7-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 12-3, 7-1.
Kimes recorded her fourth double-double of the season.
Sophomore Angela Tesny chipped in 13 points for ONU, while junior Karissa Steffas pulled down 11 boards.
Northern found themselves in a hole early on in the game as they fell behind 19-7 with 11:33 left in the first half.
From there ONU would outscore the Yellow Jackets 16-8 to cut into the BW lead, making the score 23-27 at intermission.
A quick 8-4 run to start the second half, capped off by a three pointer from Tesny would knot the game at 31-31 with 16:36 remaining in the contest.
After Baldwin Wallace pulled ahead 36-35, Tesny would hit a jumper to give Northern their first lead of the game at 37-36 with 13:38 remaining in the contest.
After exchanging scores with the Yellow Jackets, Northern would build its largest lead of the night off a layup from Kimes, making the score 47-43 with 9:01 to go.
BW would again pull ahead and didn't look back from there as they went on to win the game 69-64.
The Polar Bears won the rebounding battle 45-34 on the night while pulling down 19 offensive rebounds.
ONU shot 24-of-65 (36.9 percent) from the field, including 3-of-16 (18.8 percent) from beyond the 3-point line. Baldwin Wallace shot 23-of-58 (39.7 percent) from the field and made 6-of-20 (30.0 percent) three pointers.
The Polar Bears will return to action Wednesday, as they travel to Tiffin to take on Heidelberg at 7:30 pm.
