Jordan Kimes posts her 7th career double-double as Women's Basketball wins at Wilmington 69-52

WILMINGTON — Senior Jordan Kimes posted her third double-double of the season with 17 points and a career-high 16 rebounds to lead Ohio Northern to a 69-52 women's basketball victory at Wilmington Wednesday night at Raizk Arena.
The Polar Bears improve to 11-3 overall and remain atop the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 7-0 record, while the Quakers fall to 8-6, 3-4.
Kimes now has seven double-doubles in her career.
Senior Kerri Beedy and junior Carly Thomas each scored 13 points and junior Karissa Steffas added 11 points for ONU.
Wilmington was led by Brittany Jefferson and Ashley Andracki with nine points each.
The Polar Bears used a 9-0 run to take a 40-25 lead with 2:05 left in the first half and led 42-28 at intermission.
A thomas jumper gave ONU its largest lead of the night at 58-38 with 9:22 to play.
Wilmington would get no closer that 14 points the rest of the way.
ONU made 26-of-54 field goal attempts for 48.1 percent and limited WC to just 17-of-56 shooting for 30.4 percent.
Northern out-rebounded Wilmington 43-28.
The Polar Bears will return home on Saturday to host Baldwin Wallace at 3 pm in a battle for first place in the OAC at the ONU Sports Center.
