Four Women's Cagers honored as 2012 All-Ohio Athletic Conference

2012 Women's Basketball All-OAC
Four Ohio Northern women's basketball players have been named 2012 All-Ohio Athletic Conference, as voted upon by the league coaches.
Senior forward Kara Dysert was named First Team, junior guard Morgan Dumbaugh and sophomore forward Cenzie Yoder were named Second Team, and junior guard Joanna Snyder was named Honorable Mention.
Dysert finished the season as the team's leading rebounder at 8.6 rpg, while also leading the team and conference with 43 blocks and posting 12.0 points per game.
In January at Muskingum, she became the ninth ONU women's basketball player to record 1,000 points. She finished her career seventh all-time in career scoring at 1,098 points, and second all-time in both career rebounding (782) and career blocks (70).
Dumbaugh led the team this past season with her 12.4 points per contest while also grabbing 4.3 boards per game. With her career 896 points, she's tied for 16th in career scoring.
Yoder had a breakout season in just her second collegiate year, finishing tied for second in scoring at 12.0 ppg and second in rebounding (6.1 rpg) and assists (77).
She wrapped up the season third in the OAC in field goal percentage (52.2 percent), tied for fifth in blocked shots (25) and ninth in assists.
Snyder finished fifth on the team in scoring (9.7 ppg), fourth in rebounding (4.2 rpg) and third in assists (69). She also had the best free throw percentage of the starting rotation at 82.4 percent.
The Polar Bears finished the season with its best record under 11th-year head coach Michele Durand at 21-6 overall and second in the OAC with its 14-4 mark. The team also made its first appearance in the OAC Championship game since 1987-88 season.
