ADA — Ohio Northern senior Allie Bican (Solon) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 10-16.
This is Bican's second career OAC Player of the Week accolade, as she earned the honor once as a sophomore in 2021.

Her week was highlighted by a seven-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Wilmington and allowing just five hits while striking out 12 in a 4-3 win over John Carroll.
Bican is now 8-6 this season with a 3.38 ERA, and she ranks fourth in the OAC with 81 strikeouts.
She is 20-16 in her career with a 3.11 ERA, and her 240 strikeouts rank fifth all-time at ONU.
Riding a five-game win streak, the Polar Bears return to action on Wednesday when they host a doubleheader against Otterbein beginning at 3 p.m.
