This Weekend's Series: The Polar Bears enter the 6-team 2021 OAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed and will host fifth-seeded Capital in the Quarterfinals on Wednesday at the ONU Softball Field ... The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was moved back one day due to wet field conditions after nearly four inches of rain fell in the area on Sunday. ... Wednesday's winner will advance to the Semifinals on Thursday ... The tournament will be re-seeded after the Quarterfinals with the highest seeded quarterfinal winner playing at #2 seed Muskingum and the lowest seeded quarterfinal winner playing at top-seeded and regular season champion Mount Union ... The finals will be a best-of-3 series at the highest seeded semifinal winner ... The two teams will play a double header on Saturday with a Game 3, (if necessary) on Sunday ... A limited number of spectators will be allowed to attend the games based on the OAC's COVID-19 policy ... Each player will receive two admissions each game ... No tickets will be available to the general public ... Ohio Northern is looking for its seventh OAC Tournament title and its first since 2018 ... ONU clinched the No. 4 seed with a 4-game sweep of Otterbein Thursday and Saturday ... Sophomore Allie Bican threw a 6-hit shutout and did not give up an earned run in 16.0 innings in the circle, posting a 2-0 record ... Thru 38 games this season, sophomore Sydney Motylinski leads the team with a .381 batting average, 43 hits, 30 RBI, and 9 home runs ... Junior Stacey Walters is 12-5 with 88 Ks and a 3.24 ERA and Bican is 4-7 with 95 Ks and a 3.42 ERA in the circle ... Senior Brady Guest ranks tied for 6th in ONU history with 16 HRs and is tied for 20th with 127 base hits... Senior Alicia Swierz is tied for 22nd with 126 hits ... Senior Gabby Stewart ranks 10th on ONU's all-time career hits list with 184, is fifth with 17 home runs, fourth with 130 RBIs and is fourth with 42 doubles ... Capital enters Tuesday's quarterfinals as the No. 5 seed ... The Crusaders won their final six games, including a 4-game sweep of Wilmington Thursday and Friday, to qualify for the 6-team tournament ...
