Adriana Sikora, Christin Miller named All-Central Region in Softball by the NFCA

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Adriana Sikora and senior Christin Miller were named All-Central Region on softball for 2014 in voting conducted by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Sikora was a First Team selection and Miller was a Second Team honoree.
Sikora was also named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and was named to the All-OAC Tournament Team.
She led the OAC this season with 16 home runs, 51 runs scored, 39 RBI, 18 doubles, a 1.016 slugging percentage and a .558 on-base percentage. She led the team and was third in the OAC in batting with a .480 average and started 40 games in right field.
Her 16 home runs are the second-most in a single season in ONU history.
Miller started all 42 games at center field and is a four-time All-OAC and three-time All-Central Region honoree.
She earned First Team All-Conference accolades in each of her first three seasons as a Polar Bear and was named First Team All-Region as a sophomore and Third Team All-Region as a junior.
She was second on the team with a .450 batting average and led the team with 67 hits and 22 stolen bases.
Miller is ONU's all-time career hits leader with 259 and ranks second all-time with 53 stolen bases. She is also just the second player in ONU history to bat better than .400 in four consecutive seasons.
The Polar Bears finished 23-19 overall and won a share of the OAC Regular Season crown with a 12-6 record under first-year head coach Ali Hess.
