Adriana Sikora leads list of 7 Polar Bears named All-OAC in Softball for 2014

ADA -- Junior Adriana Sikora led a list of seven Ohio Northern players that were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in Softball in 2014 in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
Sikora was a First Team selection.
Seniors Colleen Baliga, Bree Hiteshew and Christin Miller, junior Kelly Sheridan and sophomore Amanda Lahti were named Second Team All-OAC and freshman Paige Ordean was named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Sikora led the OAC this season with 16 home runs, 51 runs scored, 39 RBI, 18 doubles, a 1.016 slugging percentage and a .558 on-base percentage. She led the team and was third in the OAC in batting with a .480 average and started 40 games in right field.
Her 16 home runs are the second-most in a single season in ONU history.
Baliga was named All-OAC for the second time in her career, earning First Team honors as a junior in 2013.
She was third on the team in batting at .403 with a home run and 22 RBI while starting 28 games, mostly at designated player.
She wraps up her career with 85 hits and 57 runs scored in 111 games.
Hiteshew is making her first appearance on the All-Conference squad. She started all 42 games at second base and catcher in her first season as a starter.
She finished the season hitting .327 with three home runs and 21 RBI.
In 51 career games, Hiteshew finished with 44 hits, three home runs and 32 RBI.
Miller started all 42 games at center field and is now a four-time All-OAC honoree. She earned First Team All-Conference accolades in each of her first three seasons as a Polar Bear.
She was second on the team with a .450 batting average and led the team with 67 hits and 22 stolen bases.
Miller is ONU's all-time career hits leader with 259 and ranks second all-time with 53 stolen bases. She is also just the second player in ONU history to bat better than .400 in four consecutive seasons.
Sheridan was named First Team All-OAC and was the Freshman of the Year in 2012 and is making her second appearance on the All-Conference squad.
She was third on the team in hitting at .403 and was second with 7 home runs and 35 RBI while starting 41 games in the outfield.
In her three seasons as a Polar Bear, Sheridan has 150 base hits, 16 home runs and 99 RBI in 113 career games.
Ordean led the Ohio Northern pitching staff in 2014 with a 13-10 record and a 4.69 ERA in 144.2 innings of work.
She had a perfect game, two no-hitters and four shutouts in her rookie year at ONU.
The Polar Bears finished 23-19 overall and won a share of the OAC Regular Season crown with a 12-6 record under first-year head coach Ali Hess.
