COLUMBUS, Ga. -- The No. 17-ranked Ohio Northern softball team fell to two nationally ranked opponents on Day 2 of the NFCA Leadoff Classic on Saturday.
The Polar Bears (0-4) fell 17-1 to No. 25 East Texas Baptist and 5-4 to No. 25 Washington (Mo.)
Northern moved to 0-3 in pool play after falling to ETBU, then moved to the consolation side of the double elimination Bronze Bracket with the loss to Washington.
Against WU, Sophomore Kelly Sheridan went 3-for-3 with three RBI to lead the ONU offense.
Details of the ETBU contest will be posted when they become available.
The Polar Bears will face Mississippi College at 8 am on Sunday.
