Three earn All-Region honors as Men's Cross Country finishes sixth of 40 at NCAA III Great Lakes Regional Championships

NORTON — Three Ohio Northern men's cross country runners earned All-Region honors with top-35 finishes, leading the team to a sixth place finish out of 40 teams at the NCAA Division IIII Great Lakes Regional Championships on Saturday morning at Silver Creek Metro Park.

- Junior Ryan Massie (Beavercreek) led the Polar Bears across the finish line in 24:30 to finish 20th of 278 runners.
- Massie earned All-Region honors with his top-35 finish.
- He is also on the bubble to earn a bid to the NCAA III Championships as an individual.
- Junior Trey Masterson (Tiffin/Hopewell Loudon) was 25th in a career-low 24:36, earning All-Region honors.
- Sophomore Jacob Clouse (Alvada/New Riegel) was the third Polar Bear to earn All-Region kudos and was 30th in a career-low 24:41.
- Senior Aaron Guzman (Lebanon) was 65th in a career-low 25:06.
- Senior Ian Ackenhausen (Xenia/Legacy Christian Academy) was 68th in a career-low 25:08.
- Senior Kyle Roth (Rockford/Parkway) was 74th in a season-low 25:12.
- Senior Jared Swartz (Columbia Station/Columbia) was 90th in 25:28.

- The top 35 individual finishers earn All-Region honors.
- The top finishing team in each of the 10 NCAA Regional Championships earn automatic bids to the NCAA III Championships Nov. 18 at Newville, Pa.
