ONU Race Notes: Ohio Northern enters Saturday ranked No. 10 in the Great Lakes Region ... The men's race is 8,000 meters … The men's varsity (top-10) race begins at 11:15 a.m., and the men's open race begins at 12:45 p.m. … ONU will have runners in both races … Ohio Northern finished 17th of 39 teams in 2019 at the Oberlin Rumble ... The Polar Bears finished 16th of 42 teams October 2nd at the Louisville Classic ... Junior Billy Driemeyer was the first ONU runner across the finish line, placing 49th overall out of 341 runners with a time of 25:37.9 ... Junior Breydan Hann (Wooster) was the second Polar Bear to finish, placing 91st overall with a time of 26:21.4 ... Rounding out ONU's top five was sophomore Ian Ackenhausen finished 111th in 26:38.5, senior Dylan McKean was 114th in 26:42.0, and sophomore Kyle Roth crossed 165th in 27:21.6.
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is in his 13th season as head coach of the men's cross country team … In 12 seasons at ONU, he has guided the men's cross country teams to a 1,200-310 record, a .795 win percentage, and four Ohio Athletic Conference crowns, while the women's cross country teams have compiled a 1,002-426 record, a .702 win percentage, and three OAC titles … Maus currently stands as the all-time winningest coach in Ohio Northern school history for both men's and women's cross-country.
