No. 18 Men's Cross Country receives at-large bid to NCAA Division III Championships meet

ADA — No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern received an at-large bid to compete in the NCAA III Men's Cross Country Championships meet on Saturday in Louisville, Ky.
The Polar Bears (96-7 overall) received a bid after finishing third at the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional Championships on Nov. 12.
The top two teams in each of the eight NCAA Regional Championships receive automatic bids to the NCAA Championships. The remaining 16 teams were selected by a NCAA committee on Sunday.
This will be the fourth appearance for Ohio Northern at the championships and first since 2008.
ONU finished 11th in 2008, 17th in 2007 and 32nd in 2006.
Sophomore Ian McVey (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls), seniors Andrew Harden (Vandalia/Vandalia-Butler), Kase Schalois (Van Wert) and junior Bobby Borger (Perrysburg) all earned All-Great Lakes Region honors after finishing in the top 35 of the race in a field of 249 runners.
