Men's Cross Country moves up to No. 18 in seventh weekly USTFCCCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's cross country team moved up one spot to No. 18 in the seventh United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association coaches poll released on Wednesday.
Northern (63-5 overall) garnered 135 points in the poll after winning their second consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference Championships title last Saturday.
The No. 18 ranking is the squad's highest rankling this year.
ONU was ranked as high as No. 19 last season, when the squad won the OAC Championships title and finished with a 138-9 record.
North Central (Ill.) remained in the No. 1 spot with 279 points and seven first place votes, Geneseo State (N.Y.) is second with 273 points and the other first place vote and Williams (Mass.) is third with 264 points.
The Polar Bears will return to action Nov. 12 at the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional at Holland, Mich.
