ONU Race Notes: Ohio Northern enters Friday's meet in Lansing 6-0 overall ... The invitational will feature 38 schools from across all three divisions ... The men's race is slated to begin at 11:50 am with the women's race following at 12:30 pm ... Northern is coming off of a first place finish at the annual Bluffton 6k Invitational ... The Polar Bears placed five runners in the top-10 at the meet and featured nine runners in the top-20 finishers ... Sophomore Ian McVey finished in 19:16.41 and narrowly edged out senior Cully Gordon, who finished fifth in 19:16.94 ... McVey earned OAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for his effort at the Bluffton 6k ... Seniors Andrew Harden, Kase Schalois and junior Matt Molinaro also posted top-10 finishes for the Polar Bears ... Juniors Bobby Borger and Samuel Boyd finished 12th and 13th, respectively, while senior Aaren Hemmelgarn and sophomore Spencer Schulze also posted top-20 finishes ... Northern is ranked No. 32 in the first weekly USTFCCCA coaches poll ... This marks the second consecutive year that the Polar Bears have been nationally ranked ...
