ONU Race Notes: Ohio Northern will compete at the 2014 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships on Saturday at the Golf Center at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio ... The men will run an 8k race at 11 am with the women following with a 6k race at 12:30 pm ... The top 2 teams in each of the 8 Regional Championships races will receive automatic bids to the NCAA III Championships Nov. 22 at the same site ... There will also be 16 at-large teams selected from those 8 sites to compete at the NCAA Championships ... The top 7 individuals in each of the 8 Regional races not on teams that qualified for the Championships will receive bids to run as individuals at the NCAA III Championships ... The top 35 runners in the race will earn All-Great Lakes Region honors ... Senior Nathan Rosenbaum finished 8th of 252 runners in 25:27 at last year's Regional Championships race to lead Ohio Northern to a 6th place finish out of 35 teams and earn All-Region honors ... ONU is coming off a 3rd place finish at the 2014 OAC Championships on Nov. 1 at John Carroll ... This marks the 10th consecutive season that the Polar Bears have finished in the top three at the OAC Championships, dating back to the 2004 season ... Rosenbaum led the Polar Bears across the finish line, finishing third with a time of 26:48, earning 1st Team All-Conference for the third time in his career, and marks his fourth time earning All-Conference honors ... Sophomore Andrew Harden finished 10th in the race and earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors finishing in 27:41 ... Also finishing in the top 25 runners for the Polar Bears were junior Eric Wymer, who finished the race in 21st place with a time of 28:01 and freshman Bobby Borger who crossed the finish line in 25th place in 28:09.
