Bio

Madison Haasz coached at Ohio Northern for two seasons as Assistant Track & Field coach for the Ohio Northern men's and women's track & field teams where she served as the throwing coach.

In her first season as throwing coach for the Polar Bears, Haasz coached Lucas Shumate at both the 2017 Indoor and Outdoor National Meets.

Haasz also coached Kendra Paul during the 2017 outdoor campaign where she made her debut at the National Meet in the javelin throw.

Haasz coached three OAC Champions during the both the indoor and outdoor conference championships in 2017.

The 2016 graduate of Heidelberg University majored in Psychology and was a four time All-American as a thrower on the women's track & field team.

She earned the Paul Hoernemann Award at Heidelberg in 2016 after her phenomenal athletic career at HU.

Haasz earned All-American accolades in 2016 as she finished as national runner-up in the outdoor hammer throw, finished fifth nationally in the outdoor shot put and finished sixth nationally in the indoor shot put. 

Haasz was also named an All-American in 2015 as she finished sixth in the hammer throw at the outdoor national meet.

"I am very excited and thankful for the opportunity to coach at Ohio Northern University," Haasz said. "Coaching is a dream job and something I am very passionate about. I am excited that I get to come to work everyday and do something that I love."
