Dean, Krabacher each win events to lead Men's Track and Field on day two of the Findlay Alumni Classic & Elite Throws

FINDLAY — Freshman Nate Dean (Euclid/Villa Angela Saint Joseph) and sophomore Sam Krabacher (Hamilton/Badin) each won events to pace the Ohio Northern men's track and field team on the second day of the Findlay Alumni Classic & Elite Throws meet on Saturday afternoon inside the Malcolm Athletic Center.
The meet was not scored for final team standings.
Dean bested a 29-man field by winning the 200-meter dash in :23.05, while Krabacher won the 800 in 1:58.87.
Senior All-American Ian McVey (Stow/Munroe Falls) placed second in the 1000 run in 2:32.88, just three-tenths of a second short of his personal best.
Sophomore Dawson Paul (Maineville/Little Miami) crossed second in the 3000 in 9:17.43 and sophomore Donovin Moran (Saint John, Ind./Hanover Central) finished third in the 600 in 1:32.95.
In the 60 dash, sophomore Jordan Smith (Grand Rapids, Mich./Christian) finished sixth in the 32-man field in 7.24 seconds.
Sophomore Owen Lloyd placed fifth in the 60 hurdles in 8.81 seconds and sophomore Matt Bradshaw (Cleveland/Norton) was fifth in the open weight throw with a career-long toss of 15.39 meters.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Saturday with the Joe Banks Invitational at ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse.
