Men's Track & Field posts strong showing at George Glass Invitational

UPLAND, Ind. — The Ohio Northern men's track and field team posted a second place finish at the 3rd Annual George Glass Invitational hosted by Taylor (Ind.) University on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears move to 15-5 overall after finishing second of 12 teams with 111 points.
Junior Ian McVey (Stow/Munroe Falls) led the way with a first place finish in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 4:04.29.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, freshman Travis Sutter (Fort Recovery) finished second in 10:07.65.
In the field, senior Luke Bogdanovich (Akron/Coventry) was second in the high jump with a leap of 1.87 meters and also finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.96 meters.
Senior Alex Sibila (Zionsvlle, Ind.) posted a second place finish in the triple jump, leaping 12.05 meters.
In the 5,000-meter run, senior Samuel Boyd (Killbuck/West Holmes) finished in the top-3, finishing third in 15:20.39
Senior Brandon Emert (Brunswick) also posted a top-3 finish at the meet, finishing third in the 400-meter hurdles in :58.58 seconds.
The Polar Bears return to action next Saturday as they travel to Delaware to compete in the All-Ohio Championships.
