Men's Outdoor Track & Field has strong showing at Otterbein April Fool Invitational

WESTERVILLE — The Ohio Northern men's outdoor track and field team had a strong showing at the Otterbein April Fool Invitational in Westerville on Friday afternoon.
Team scores were not immediately available for the meet.
Junior Spencer Schulze (St. Henry) paced the Polar Bears on the afternoon, finishing second in the 5,000-meter run in 15:18.08.
In the 4x100-meter relay, the team of senior Brandon Emert (Brunswick), sophomore Jared Butcher (Mechanicsburg) and freshmen Herrio Joseph (Lake Worth, Fla./Sanatluces) and Owen Lloyd (Colfax, Ind./Clinton Prairie) finished third in an impressive :45.48.
Butcher also posted a fourth place finish in the 400-meter dash, finishing in :51.91.
Emert and Butcher also teamed up with sophomore Cody Benny (Wapakoneta) and freshman Gabe Dauch (Norwalk/St. Paul) and finished second in the 4x400-meter in 3:23.33.
Senior Alex Sibila (Zionsville, Ind.) had the best individual finish in the field events, finishing second in the high jump with a leap of 6' 2.00".
In the triple jump senior Luke Bogdanovich (Akron/Coventry) finished third overall with a leap of 41' 10.00", while sophomore Noah McKee (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) finished fifth in the event with a jump of 40' 3.25".
Freshman Sam Krabacher had a solid individual finish in the 1,500-meter run, finishing fifth in the event in 4:09.56.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday, Apr. 7 as they travel to Upland, Indiana to compete in the George Glass Invitational.
