Senior Samuel Boyd leads trio of Polar Bears at 2018 Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. — Senior Samuel Boyd (Killbuck/West Holmes) led the way for Ohio Northern as three members of the men's outdoor track and field competed at the 2018 Raleigh Relay in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday afternoon.
Boyd posted a solid finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing 24th of 34 runners in 9:27.51.
Senior Matt Molinaro (Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLaSalle) and junior Ian McVey (Stow/Munroe Falls) were set to compete in the 1,500-meter run and 5,000-meter run, respectively, but Molinaro was tripped in his race and did not finish and McVey did not finish his race due to illness.
Molinaro will look to rebound tomorrow afternoon as he is one of eight runners in the first of three heats in the 800-meter run and will run on Saturday afternoon at 2:15 p.m.
