Men's Track & Field: No. 22 Ohio Northern (0-0 Overall) set to open 2018 indoor season at OAC North Split Meet

Friday's Preview: The No. 22-ranked Ohio Northern men's track and field team is set to begin its 2018 indoor campaign on Friday evening as it competes at the OAC North Split Meet in Berea on the campus of Baldwin Wallace ... Field events are set to begin at 4 p.m. with the men's weight throw, while the running events will kickoff at 5 p.m. with the men's 55-meter dash prelims ... ONU is ranked No. 22 in the USTFCCCA preseason track and field power rankings ... Northern welcomes back senior All-American Matt Molinaro in 2018 ... Molinaro is a 13-time OAC Champion, 20-time All-OAC honoree, 10-time All-Great Lakes Region honoree and a 3-time All-American ... The senior is also the 2016 OAC Indoor Men's Distance Runner of the Year ... Junior Ian McVey also returns in 2018 after posting an All-American season for the ONU men's cross country team ... He also returns as a 4-time All-OAC honoree, the school record-holder in the indoor 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter run events and a 2-time All-Great Lakes Region honoree ... Northern finished second of five teams at last year's OAC North Split meet at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse.
