Dan Arkin, Emily Richards to compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

ADA — Sophomore Dan Arkin and freshman Emily Richards qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships to be held May 21-23 at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.

Arkin will compete in the javelin on Saturday at 11:30 am, with the finals to directly follow.

Richards will compete in the 800-meter run prelims on Friday at 6:45pm, with the finals being held Saturday at 2:55 pm.

Richards enters as the 11 seed in the 800-meter run, with a time of 2:10.58. She currently holds the school record in the event and was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Distance Runner of the Year for her efforts.

Arkin enters as the 9 seed in the javelin, with a distance of 202'0". He currently holds the school record in the event and captured the OAC title in the event this season.
