Rosenbaum, McKee lead Men's indoor Track & Field to second place finish at the OAC North Split Meet

BEREA — Senior Nathan Rosenbaum and sophomore Ian McKee each won events to lead the Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team to a second place finish at the Ohio Athletic Conference North Meet on Friday at Baldwin Wallace.
The Polar Bears (13-1 overall) finished second of five teams with 123 points.
Mount Union won the team title with 198 points, John Carroll was third with 114 points, Baldwin Wallace was fourth with 78 points and Heidelberg was fifth with 67 points.
Rosenbaum won the 3,000-meter run in 8:43.44 and McKee won the 800 in 2:00.05.
The distance medley relay team of senior Dan Steigerwald, freshman Matt Molinaro, sophomore Andrew Harden and junior Eric Wymer won in 10:37.56.
Harden also finished second in the 1000 in 2:38.48.
Three other Polar Bears had second place finishes for Ohio Northern.
Junior Robbie Brinkman was second in the triple jump with a leap of 12.64 meters, sophomore Aaren Hemmelgarn was second in the 5000 in 15:15.68 and Molinaro was second in the 500 in 1:07.78.
The 1600 relay team of Molanrio, senior James Rader and freshmen Brandon Emert and Connor Karg won in 3:27.01.
The Polar Bears will return to action February 7 when they host the Joe Banks Invitational at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse.
