Colbert wins long jump to lead Men's Outdoor Track & Field at Dr. Keeler Invitational

NAPERVILLE (Ill.) -- Senior Josh Colbert won the long jump to lead the men's outdoor track & field team at the Dr. Keeler Invitational on Thursday and Friday on the campus of North Central (Ill.).
The meet was unscored.
Colbert posted a leap of 7.11 meters (23-4.00) to win the event.
The 4x100-meter relay team of senior Francisque Pierre-Jerome, sophomore Jojuan Fisher, sophomore Christian Rupe and Colbert finished second in 41.44 seconds. Their time of 41.44 currently ranks 14th in the country, with the top 16 times qualifying for the NCAA III Championships.
Junior Nate Rosenbaum finished fifth in the 10,000-meter run in 32:40.58.
The 4x400-meter relay team of junior James Rader, junior Jonathan Roseler, freshman Patrick Jeffries and Rupe finished eighth in 3:17.20.
In the 5,000-meter run, which featured over 100 runners, freshman Cully Gordon finished 29th in 15:47.73 and freshman Aaren Hemmelgarn was 44th, crossing the finish line in 16:01.54.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, freshman Kase Schalois finished 31st in 9:44.18, senior Mark Berton finished 34th in 9:48.96 and freshman Adam Berry was 35th in 9:50.54.
Sophomore Eric Wymer finished 46th in the 1,500-meter run, which featured over 80 competitors, in 4:05.74.
The Polar Bears will have members of the team return to North Central on May 15 and May 16, to compete in the Gregory Invitational.
