Men's Outdoor Track & Field finishes fourth at Kenyon Spring Invitational

GAMBIER -- The Ohio Northern men's outdoor track & field team finished fourth at the Kenyon Spring Invitational on Saturday.
The Polar Bears (31-9-1) finished with 74 points.
Penn State-Behrend won the meet with 112 points, with Otterbein and Ohio Wesleyan finishing in a tie for second with 84 points.
The 4x400-meter relay team of senior Evan McKee, junior James Rader, junior Jonathan Roseler and sophomore Christian Rupe won in 3:18.91.
In the 800-meter run, freshman Ian McKee came in second in 2:00.16 and junior Dan Steigerwald was fourth in 2:00.94.
Freshman Lucas Shumate recorded a second place finish in the hammer throw, covering 45.76 meters.
Sophomore Eric Wymer finished third in the 1,500-meter run in 4:04.67 and sophomore Jojuan Fisher was third in the 100-meter dash in 11.21 seconds.
Junior Phil Farwig finished fourth the shotput with a throw covering 13.88 meters and junior Ryan Brancheau cleared 1.88 meters in the high jump, which place him fourth.
Brancheau also was third in the triple jump, with a leap of 12.58 meters and sophomore Robbie Brinkman was fifth in the event with a leap of 12.36 meters.
Farwig finished fifth in the hammer with a throw of 44.66 meters and Brinkman was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.97 seconds.
Junior Lance Hartman recorded a seventh place finish in the discus with a throw of 39.33 meters and Fisher was eighth in the javelin, with a throw of 44.31 meters.
ONU will return to action April 25 and 26, when it competes in the OAC Championships at Baldwin Wallace.
