Mark Berton and Nate Rosenbaum compete at Jesse Owens Classic

COLUMBUS -- Senior Mark Berton and junior Nate Rosenbaum competed at the Jesse Owens Classic on Friday evening on the campus of Ohio State.
The meet was unscored.
Both competitors bettered their season times.
Berton finished the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:19.32, which was nearly 10 seconds faster than his top time this season.
His time ranks him eighth in the country, with the top-20 times earning a spot in the NCAA III Championships.
Rosenbaum finished eighth in the 5,000-meter run in 14:54.11, which was eight seconds faster than his season best.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Saturday at the Kenyon Spring Invitational.
