Rosenbaum earns All-OAC status at Day 1 of OAC Championships

ALLIANCE -- Sophomore Nate Rosenbaum finished second in the 10,000-meter run to lead the Ohio Northern outdoor men's track & field team at Day 1 of the OAC Championships at Mount Union.
The Polar Bears have 16 points, which places them in seventh.
Mount Union holds the lead after the first day of competition with 54.5 points, John Carroll is second with 39 points and Marietta is third with 30.
Rosenbaum finished the race in 31:36.06 to earn All-OAC kudos.
The tandem of juniors Mathew Johnson and Evan McKee and sophomores Dan Steigerwald and Kyle Wagner finished fifth in the 4x800-meter relay in 7:53.95.
Freshman Brandon Ike notched a sixth place finish in the pole vault, clearing 4.46 meters (14-7.50).
Freshman Devon Jones finished eighth in the long jump, posting a leap of 6.50 meters (21-4.00).
Jones also qualified for the finals of the 100-meter dash and junior Adrian Arias qualified for the finals of the 200-meter dash.
Day 2 of the OAC Championships begin on Saturday at 10 am with field events and at 2 pm with track competition.
