Men's Track & Field finishes 3rd of 19 teams at the All-Ohio Championships
ADA — The Polar Bear men's track team had a busy yet successful Saturday, competing at the Division III All-Ohio Championships and the BW Mid February Meet.
ONU took 3rd of 19 teams with 68.5 points at the All-Ohio Meet, hosted by Kenyon, Saturday afternoon.
Junior Cory Bailey earned a first-place finish, taking the top spot in the 800 meter run in 1:55.82.
Second place finishers included senior Ryan Fleming who placed with in 6.48. Bailey, senior Garrett Brown, senior Shane Huntley and junior Jacob Schwab also took second in the 4x400 relay in 3:25.66.
Schwab was also an individual placer, taking third in the 400 dash (49.94), while sophomore Ben Ankrom took third in the mile in 4:20.63.
Juniors Seadrick Marshall and Joe Gutter, and freshman Adrian Arias competed at the BW Mid February Meet.
Gutter took third in the weight throw with a 15.89 meter toss, while Marshall and Arias competed in the 55 meter dash.
The Polar Bears hit the road to Columbus next Saturday for the Rick Meindl Meet, hosted by Capital. Field events are scheduled for an 11 a.m. start.
