Men’s Tennis closes spring break schedule with 6-3 loss to Macalester (Minn.)

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to Macalester (Minn.) on Friday at the USTA Courts to close out its spring break trip.
The Scots improve to 6-4 overall while dropping the Polar Bears to 5-6.
Macalester opened Friday's match by winning all three doubles courts.
Freshman T.J. Schultz (Grand Blanc, Mich.) and junior Isaac Spar (Ada) forced a tiebreaker at No. 3 doubles but ultimately fell 7-8(3).
The Scots then won three singles courts to clinch the match.
Northern's three singles victories came courtesy of sophomores Tristan Munteanu (Draper, Utah/Corner Canyon) and Sam Sran (Punjab, India/St. Stephens and Gian Jyoti Global) and freshman Nico Rogel (Alicante, Spain/Hoosac).
Munteanu won 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 at No. 1, Sran won 6-4, 1-6, 10-8 at No. 3, and Rogel won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday, March 25, to open their Ohio Athletic Conference schedule hosting Marietta.
