Men's Tennis drops tight match to Franklin and Marshall (Pa.) on spring break trip

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team lost five third-set tiebreakers in singles play and dropped a tight 7-2 decision to Franklin & Marshall (Pa.) Wednesday night at the USTA National Campus.
The Polar Bears fall to 4-5 on the season, while the Diplomats improve to 2-5.
The teams played the six singles courts first, with FMC claiming all six - five of them in third-set tiebreakers.
Ohio Northern kept battling and won two of the three doubles courts to finish the 7-2 decision.
Sophomores Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) and Drew Swisher (Findlay) won 8-5 at No. 2 doubles and junior Kavya Desai (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and freshman Nico Rogel (Alicante, Spain/Hoosac) won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
The Polar Bears will play the penultimate match of their spring break trip on Thursday at 2 pm against Springfield (Mass.) at the Lake Cane Tennis Center.
