Men’s Tennis defeats Wooster 7-2

LIMA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team got a 7-2 win over Wooster on Saturday indoors at Westwood Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-2 overall while dropping the Scots to 2-4.
Sophomores Tristan Munteanu (Draper, Utah), Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) and Drew Swisher (Findlay) and freshman Nico Rogel (Alicante, Spain/Hoosac) all won twice on the day for ONU.
Specht and Swisher won 8-4 at No. 2 doubles and Munteanu and Rogel won 8-3 at No. 3 doubles, giving Northern a 2-1 edge going into singles play.
Munteanu won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, Specht won 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 at No. 2 singles, and sophomore Sam Sran (Punjab, India/St. Stephens and Gian Juoti Global) won 5-7, 7-5, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
Rogel won 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 at No. 5 singles, and Swisher won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
The Polar Bears return to action on Sunday at Oberlin at 2 p.m.
